Assistant Head of Dublin School of Architecture
Joseph Little is an Assistant Head of School of Dublin School of Architecture. He has spoken at several previous Energy Action Fuel Poverty Conferences. He is an architect with a strong focus on healthy, low energy retrofit and on hygrothermal risk assessment.
Joseph practiced as an architect and building fabric consultant consultant for many years. His practice carried out Ireland’s first deep retrofit to the EnerPHit standard and won various Green Awards. He graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1996 and from the Graduate School of the Environment in mid-Wales with an honours degree in ‘MSc Architecture – Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies’ in 2008.
He set-up Building Life Consultancy in 2009 to give independent, technical support to those focused on raising insulation standards for new and existing buildings in a healthy, appropriate way. The consultancy provides hygrothermal, condensation and mould risk analysis using the full suite of WUFI software, thermal bridge analysis, and physical assessments of problem buildings.
