Duties
Energy Action CLG is a Warmer Homes Charity, carrying out insulation on the homes of those living in fuel poverty, namely the elderly and vulnerable. This service is funded by a number of stakeholders, including SEAI, the DEASP and Pobal.

We also run a number of training and job activation schemes, such as Community Employment, Job Initiative, TUS and the Community Services Programme.

A Storesperson role has now become vacant within our Community Employment Scheme. You will be required to carry out the following duties:

• Give out stock to insulation crews
• Place material orders through Finance and monitor incoming deliveries
• Record outgoing/incoming stock on paper and in the system
• Receive deliveries of materials
• Carry out regular stock checks and monthly stock takes
• Check vehicles when required
• Any other warehouse duties

The type of person that would benefit from this role:

• Those with basic computer skills
• Physically able to carry materials
• Experience of working within a busy warehouse
• Hard working and proactive due to nature of business
• However whether you have experience or not, full ongoing training will be given throughout your placement.

Hours are 19.5 hours per week (mornings or afternoons will be decided upon later) and pay is in line with standard CE rates.

Insulation Installer

An Insulation Installer role has now become vacant within our Community Employment Scheme. You will be required to carry out the following duties:

• Load vans up with materials
• Carry out attic or wall insulation according to works order
• Install draught-proofing to doors and windows
• Check and clean vehicles when required
• Any other insulation duties
• Full PPE and safety wear provided

The type of person that would benefit from this role:

• Those with any construction or insulation knowledge
• Physically able to carry out the work required
• Experience of working at heights or in tight spaces
• Hard working and proactive due to nature of business
• However whether you have experience or not, full ongoing training will be given throughout your placement.

Hours are 39 hours per week (we operate a week on/week off system) and pay is in line with standard CE rates.

Housekeeper / Cleaner

A Housekeeper/Cleaning role has now become vacant within our Community Employment Scheme. You will be required to carry out the following duties:

• Restock bathrooms and kitchen with soap, tissue, sanitiser etc.
• Carry out vacuuming and surface cleaning to all facilities.
• Clean two-floor office, two toilet cubicles and one kitchen
• Empty bins throughout the building, dusting down desks and sanitising handles
• Any other cleaning duties
• Full safety wear & cleaning materials provided

The type of person that would benefit from this role:
Full ongoing training will be given throughout your placement.
Hours are 19.5 hours per week (mornings only at this stage) and pay is in line with standard CE rates.

Administrator Assistant

Several Clerical Administrator roles have now become available within our Community Employment Scheme. You will be required to carry out any number of the following duties:

• Answering phone and taking messages
• Greeting visitors to the office
• Carry out data inputting on the computer system
• Assist with website, newsletters, leaflets and advertising.
• Accounts duties such as invoicing, banking, updating spreadsheets etc
• Social media management, updating Facebook and Twitter.
• PA duties for the CEO/Sponsor and assisting in major projects.
• Filing, emailing, photocopying and any other office duties as required
• During interview we will discuss suitable admin role (Reception, IT, PA, Admin Assistant, Accounts etc)
